For in-person Broker School courses, the instructor will display a QR code to an online attendance/sign-in form at the start time of the course. Any OREC-licensed attendees MUST sign-in with their full name & correct license number at the beginning of the course in order to receive CE credit. Attendees should see the instructor to help them sign in if they are having difficulty, or to see if they successfully signed in.
For in-person courses, The Broker School typically reports all course attendee sign-ins for CE credit to OREC within 48 hours of course completion. You should receive an email notification from OREC when your CE hours for the course are credited to you.
One of The Broker School's highest priorities is convenient, quick, and accurate CE reporting to OREC. Therefore, we use an online form that allows attendees to coveniently sign into in-person classes using their own phone, ensuring attendees' names & license numbers are accurately captured into a CSV file for efficient uploading to OREC's Education Portal. Only sign-ins using The Broker School's online form will be reported to OREC for CE credit.
The Broker School allows attendees to conveniently sign in using their own phone via a QR code displayed at the beginning of in-person courses, and via a sign-in URL pasted into chat during online webinars.
Failure to appear to a class on time or leaving early may mean attendees miss the opportunity to sign in. NOTE: OREC requires attendance for the full duration of a course to receive CE credit.
Some associations may wish to track attendance for their own purposes with their own form (paper or otherwise). The Broker School does not accept 3rd party sign-in sheets/forms for CE credit reporting.
Paper sign-in sheets introduce errors by deciphering cryptic handwriting and a manual transcription process that lengthens the time to report CE credit to OREC quickly & accurately.
The Broker School does not accept license numbers entered into online webinar chats (such as Zoom) as a valid attendee sign-in. This is an inefficient method for collecting license numbers—requiring us to scour the entire chat to manually extract dozens of attendees' names & license numbers into a CSV file for uploading to OREC.
Using The Broker School's online sign-in form allows us to quickly export sign-ins in an organized format for immediate upload to OREC upon course completion, ensuring the quickest submission of CE credit.
Instructors for The Broker School display our sign-in QR code before courses begin, providing ample opportunities & clear instruction to sign in for CE credit.
If you have trouble signing in during a course, please see your instructor who can assist you or manually sign you in.
We cannot accept requests for missed CE credit sign-ins without proof of your FULL attendance of the course.
Per OREC, attendees must sign in for courses with their first & last name AND OREC license number.
Accurate CE credit reporting to OREC is wholly dependent upon an attendee signing in with their correct OREC license number. Typos in your license number may result in your attendance being credited to another agent.
If you did not receive an email notification from OREC for CE credit, please email ce@thebrokerschool.com with the following in your email...
Your first & last name as it appears on your real estate license
Your CORRECT license number
Course name you attended
Course date
Course location
NOTE: OREC does not allow CE credit to be changed or retroactively applied after 7 days following the date the course was held.
If you've attended an in-person course where access to the online version was also offered, The Broker School will typically have all attendees added to the online course within 48 hours of course completion.
NOTE: In order to successfully add attendees to an online course, attendees will have needed to sign in at the in-person event with a correct email address. Typos in email addresses may not register the course to that attendee correctly.
